While we were on Contodora Island last weekend, Robert and I ate some amazing food dishes.

Nicola, from Hibiscus House, made some yummy breakfasts. Sadly, it was too early in the morning for me to even think about taking pictures. We just gobbled up the breakfast. Every morning though started with juices, coffee, and a yummy fruit salad with homemade yogurt. That yogurt was the smoothest, creamiest, tastiest yogurt I have ever eaten. It was so good that I have decided I must try and make some myself! But then the main course for breakfast included eggs any way you wanted with bacon and toast on day 1; day 2 was the best banana walnut pancakes (did I mention that was the first time I ever had banana walnut pancakes), and day 3 was an omelet. Thank you, Nicola, for the best way to start the day!

Ceviche

Eating out were varied in prices. At a Fonda, we had a chicken, fries, and salad dinner. The tastiest chicken. The entire country of Panama knows how to make the best dinner. But the dinner at the Fonda for both Robert and I came to $25 with the tip and beverages. Eating at Fondas are usually the cheapest, tastiest meals.

Our meals at the area restaurants, many of which were associated with hotels on the island, usually cost around $85. But these meals included an alcoholic beverage in addition to the bottled water, and of course, it also had the tip.

Pizza

Our last night there, we ordered a pizza to eat at the BNB, which cost $28 with a tip. When you order a pizza, you get whatever ingredients they have on hand. It was a delicious pizza.

All in all, we were pretty satisfied with the food on the island and enjoyed all our meals. And of course, every meal came with the best ambiance of all – the beaches of the island!
