Don’t you just hate it when you start your week with a great plan? Sundays are my planning days for the week. Sunday morning, Robert and I get up at 5 am or thereabouts, and we have our weekly meeting. This is where we rehash the things we want to get done the rest of the week – business-wise and personal-wise. Then we go out for breakfast at Gold Coast Brewing Company in Coronado. Then Sundays are supposed to be our “down day” … a day for us to go in the pool, watch movies, or just chill … but to spend it together.

Mondays, I start my day/week with what I call an accountability call with a fellow coach. It is a call lasting 30 to 45 minutes where we hold each other accountable for what we will get done during the week. I have found it is good to have someone to be responsible to – it helps keep you on the path to success. Yes, sometimes life gets in the way, and you falter. But the point is to fall down AND get back up … not stay down! For me, it is too easy to stay down, to end the journey. Having an accountability partner forces you to get back up; otherwise, she will kick me in the butt and say, ” Hey, what are you doing. Enough, get back on track!

So, this week has been one of those weeks!

Everyone has those weeks. But the key is to get back on the path. Accept the fact that you will have those kinds of weeks. Don’t dwell on them. Don’t let them keep you down.

Stay on your path!
