Remember the phrase “The plane, the plane,” from the TV show Fantasy Island?
Well, here is a picture of the plane we flew on to go to Contadora Island this weekend! And trust me – Contadora Island is most certainly like a Fantasy Island!
Robert and I had the most incredible time this past weekend. Allan Breadner was our pilot and co-owner of Hibiscus House. He co-owns the house with his better half Karyn Saunders (sorry Allan, but the lady is always considered the better half) Hibiscus House is a very quaint and cozy Bed and Breakfast with the most delightful house manager named Nicola. Nicola is a sweet Irish woman filled with many stories that kept us entertained when we were not out exploring this incredible island.
Our room in Hibiscus House was named Sun Kissed, and rightfully so. It was kissed by the sun daily. We had patio doors that opened up to our little private spot outside with table, umbrella, and chairs. Robert and I managed to spend some time out there enjoying the foliage during the early morning times before breakfast and early evenings before heading out for dinner.
One morning I got to see a deer feeding on the foliage. I whispered to Robert to look, and the deer stopped and looked at me. I thought the deer would run, but it continued eating the foliage and allowed me the opportunity to get my cell and take a pic.
